VISION & GOALS:
- To create a space for students & teachers to collaborate.
- To develop empathy and community through working together.
- To create a space that encourages creative & design thinking, problem solving, and spacial skills.
- To demystify the term “engineer” and to make students comfortable thinking of themselves as engineers.
- At the conclusion of all their years in the MakerSpace students would become confident and independent to define their own problems and design their own solutions.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & HABITS:
- Employ design thinking to solve a real world problem.
- Teach the skills of knowing what tools to use and how to use them safely.
- How to take responsibility for the space and always make sure it is ready for the next group to use.
